Chef Ava Evans is a primary example of a professional woman who decided to pursue her passion and completely change her career direction. Upon retirement from active duty service as a logistician with U.S. Army Special Operations, she enrolled into the Chef's Academy at Harrison College, in Morrisville, NC, to further her pursuit in Culinary Arts. She has become a culinary specialist with a wide range of expertise from fine dining to coastal Carolina favorites, with an elegant, gourmet twist! With her unique ability to provide efficient catering, as well as personal Chef services, she is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after chefs on the East Coast! As a native of Charleston, SC, she developed an appreciation for dishes traditional to the low country region. Locally grown produce, and meats, play a major role in her menu development, for which she constantly seeks out only the freshest and best ingredients. In addition, she reflects the Ava's Lowcountry Cuisine team's philosophy of involvement in charitable efforts by contributing time and talent to various causes such as the Falcon Children's Home of North Carolina and the Wounded Warrior Project, a non-profit organization devoted to supporting wounded veterans of the military actions following September 11, 2001. By participating in events with such organizations, Ava continues to give back to the world in which she indulges in creative satisfaction. A wonderful culinary talent, Chef Ava Evans is committed to providing outstanding customer service, and delicious food, to all clients, guests and visitors of Ava's Lowcountry Cuisine.
